The Department of Emergency Medicine at Amina Hospital provides initial treatment for a wide range of conditions like road traffic accidents, burns, poisoning, bites and stings, respiratory emergencies, cardiac emergencies like heart attacks, and stroke for both adult and paediatric age groups. It acts as a one-stop facility with a full spectrum of services under the leadership of qualified and experienced Emergency Medicine Physicians.

Working as the quick response team, staffed 24 hours a day, under the supervision of Dr. Samer Al Merie, Consultant Emergency Medicine, the multidisciplinary approach of dedicated physicians in the department helps for quick diagnosis and treatment.

The Amina Hospital ED is well equipped, which includes triage beds, observation areas that help to manage all forms of medical, surgical, Cardiac, Poly Trauma, Paediatric and Neurological conditions. The department is also fully equipped and its doctors & staff has been trained to handle lifesaving procedures like intubation, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), central venous cannulations, transcutaneous cardiac pacing, electrical and chemical cardio version etc.
