About Me:
Dr. Nafeesa Banu Shajahan is a Specialist Clinical and Anatomic Pathologist at Amina Hospital, Ajman, with over 10 years of professional experience in diagnostic pathology and laboratory medicine.
She completed her MBBS from Government Stanley Medical College, Chennai, and obtained her MD in Pathology from JIPMER, Puducherry. Dr. Nafeesa also holds the prestigious FRCPath in Histopathology from the Royal College of Pathologists, United Kingdom.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Nafeesa has completed Internal Auditor Training (ISO 15189) and CAP Inspection Team Leader Training. Her professional background includes serving as an Associate Professor and Consultant Pathologist in several leading medical institutions in India.
She is highly skilled in histopathology and cytology reporting following international standards (CAP and RCPath), with a strong focus on laboratory quality management and continuous improvement in diagnostic accuracy.

- Dr. Nafeesa Banu completed her bachelor’s in medicine & surgery from Govt. Stanley Medical College, Chennai, India in 2011 followed by MD Pathology from the prestigious Jawarhalal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, India in 2015.She has also obtained Diplomate membership of Royal College of Pathologists, UK (DipRCPATH).
Dr. Nafeesa Banu is a certified Internal Auditor and has completed training programmed in Quality Management Systems and Internal Audit in Medical Labs as per ISO 15189-2012- and three-month ICMR sponsored online certification in ‘Good clinical and public health laboratory practice and medical ethics’ conducted by IIPH, Bhubaneswar under PHFI.
Dr. Nafeesa Banu is a life member of Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists (IAPM), Indian Association of cytologists and Indian Medical Association.
